Troop 113 was organized in October 1952. It is chartered by the United Church of Christ on Klem Road in Webster, New York; however, Scouts of all faiths are welcome in our troop. We are organized in the Bay Waters District of the Seneca Waterways Council (Rochester, NY) of the Boy Scouts of America.
The troop is open to active boys ages 11 to 18. We take part in both outdoor activities and community service, as well as programs geared toward major scouting events – summer camp in the Adirondacks at Massawepie, Seabase in the Bahamas, Philmont in New Mexico, the upcoming National Jamboree and regional events. We also plan and take part in overnight camping trips, including canoe trips, bicycle hikes, and tenting at camps and historic and state park facilities in New York, Pennsylvania and Canada.

Meetings:
Wednesday evenings, 7 – 8:30 p.m., at United Church of Christ. If school is canceled on a Wednesday (weather related closing), the troop will not meet.
Membership:
About 30 boys and their parents. To help build leadership skills, the boys run the troop, with guidance from adult scout leaders and scoutmasters.
Age Levels:
Our scouts range in ages from 11 to 18, with ranks from New to Eagle Scout.
Monthly Events:
We keep the OUTING in Scouting. An outdoor event or activity, planned primarily by the scouts, takes place each month. In some cases, a nominal fee is required to purchase food for an overnight event. Recent events have included...

Major Trips:
Each Spring brings a major trip. Troop 113’s previous trips have included Kentucky's Mammoth Cave, a riverboat ride, a tour of Fort Knox, Gettysburg, Steamtown USA in Pennsylvania, whitewater rafting and horseback riding in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and the National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. This year we'll be going to Boston.
Summer Camp:
Each summer, scouts are offered the opportunity for a one-week stay at the Boy Scouts’ Camp Massawepie Lake facility in the Adirondacks.
Fund Raising:
Each Fall, the boys hold an annual popcorn sales drive in the community. Proceeds from this event are used to purchase troop supplies and equipment.
Annual Dues:
An annual fee of $50 includes a Scout Handbook, Troop Patch, year-long subscription to Boys Life magazine, troop neckerchief (upon acheiving the Tenderfoot rank), insurance, registration fee, and troop dues. Dues are paid in January at the time of troop re-chartering.
Getting Around:
Adults provide carpooling for trips. In addition, the troop owns a utility trailer for transportation of tents and equipment.
